Burung ini memiliki ciri – ciri yaitu di bagian kepala, sayap dan ekor bulu berwarna hitam, sedangkan bagian tengkuk dan punggung berwarna coklat tua Bagian bawah dan pantat berwarna putih dengan corak berbintik hitam halus. Paruhnya berwarna abu, iris mata coklat, dan kaki juga berwarna abu.
